Year 1 – Merlins

Welcome to Merlins Class!

 

In Year 1, the children are taught using a cross- curricular approach, ensuring that their learning is meaningful, effective and most of all fun! 

 

This term our topic is entitled "A Knight's Tale!".

 

In Literacy we are looking at the text "Rapunzel". We are then moving on to read "Cinderella" where the children will be acting out different parts of the story. We are very excited to be going to Leeds Castle and learning about what it was like to live in a castle. 

 

In Science we are comparing the different properties of materials. We are also observing the seasons and looking at the features using our local school grounds.
